Why Volunteer?

Volunteering has a significant impact in our community and our food banks. In fact, we would not exist if it weren’t for all the wonderful, dedicated people who volunteer their time to our food banks and the community. Volunteers also benefit from the experience such as:

Release of Liability

The undersigned individual will be engaged in volunteer service in the form of special events, food distribution, driving, warehouse, office and related duties for Jefferson County Food Bank Association which includes the Brinnon, Quilcene, Tri-Area and Port Townsend Food Banks and all pop-ups. This participation is voluntary on the part of the individual, who hereby releases Jefferson County Food Bank Association, its managers, employees, agents, Board of Directors, predecessors, successors, assigns, representatives, attorneys, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and all persons acting by, through or in connection with any of them from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, demands, and actions of any nature whatsoever arising out of the individual’s participation in such duties, inclusive of permission and release of my image associated with Model Release (https://website.jcfba.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Universal-Minor-Model-Release-FormFor-Office-Use.pdf). Such release extends to any injury, damage, loss or liability incurred by the individual while engaged in such duties, whether occurring on or off the premises owned or operated by Jefferson County Food Bank Association.
